The 15-session after-school program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to become leaders in their own communities. LEAP for Girls is a partnership between Love Heals and individual schools that employs group-level intervention, one-on-one coaching with partner agency staff, peer education, a parent-child communication workshop, and a community action project to reach its goals.

As a Lead Dietitian, under the direction of the Clinical Manager, you will oversee the clinical nutrition team in a large acute care medical center located on Staten Island, NY. Through your experience and expertise, you will manage labor and resources in order to provide for evidence-based medical nutrition therapy and superb patient care and satisfaction. In your day to day responsibilities you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and work toward improving systems and processes.

Qualifications:

Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
Master's Degree, preferred

Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, patients, client, associate and departmental levels
Must be willing to participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet
Must be able to successfully complete criminal background checks (State and Federal) and drug screenings

The Nutritionist plans and delivers nutritional information to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
&#61623;Assesses client nutritional status and needs according to facility and regulatory agency standards,and participates as part of interdisciplinary care planning
&#61623;Evaluates medical records to obtain necessary medical information to determine client nutritionalstatus, needs, and develop nutrition care plans
