Dear Health Professional,

I’m proud to announce AICR’s launch of our online interactive weight loss program called the New American Plate Challenge: 12 Weeks to a Healthier You. We’ve turned our most popular educational tool into a free program you can integrate into your practice, classes or support groups. Or patients can use it on their own.

Helping your patients successfully lose weight and maintain a healthy weight may be one of the most important – and challenging – parts of your work. Now you can use the NAP Challenge to enhance that work and empower your patients to stick with it.

The New American Plate Challenge: 12 weeks to a healthier you.

How it Works

Each week participants receive a new challenge and learn why this diet or activity change is important for weight loss, lower cancer risk and general health. They’ll receive tips, strategies and recipes to help them eat smarter and move more.

NAP Challengers will be able to track their progress using a personal blog on their own page, share photos of their plates and use message boards to exchange ideas and cheer other challengers along. They can also form and join groups for more support, as well as share their progress with family and friends if they want.

For those who want a little extra guidance and coaching from an AICR registered dietitian (RD), a premium level is available.

You can check it out yourself and encourage your patients and clients to sign up at www.napchallenge.org

Best,
Alice Bender, MS, RD
