Subject: Fwd: Prospect Heights/Crown Heights Health & Harvest Fair

Hi Attiqa,

I am Public Health Nutrition student at Hunter. My colleague Natasha Eziquiel Shiriro who is a MS Nutrition student at Hunter and I are part of a neighborhood group called the Prospect Heights/Crown Heights Food Allies, that is producing our 2nd annual Health & Harvest Fair THIS SATURDAY, September 21, 2013.

Duryea Presbyterian Church is a co-sponsor of the event, and we will be closing off Underhill Avenue between Sterling and St. John's from 12-4pm.  Over 30 local community vendors will be there to provide healthy living resources, music, cooking demos, free food samples, smoothies, yoga, martial arts, massage and acupuncture, basketball free throw and chess tournaments, and more!  Local community gardens will be represented, and we will have free fitness classes and other surprises.  There will be free medical screenings, and we will be giving out a community food resource map, showing folks where they can get healthy food.  Finally, we will have a "Cycling and Re-Cycling area" with a bike generator and facilities to recycle and compost.

It's a street fair with a healthy twist.

Could you please help us  spread the word to the Hunter Community? Many thanks!

Best,
Alison Conforti
