Conference Overview:

  *   Interested in promoting yourself as the nutrition professional, building your brand, and spreading nutrition knowledge? Learn the fundamentals and the insider tips on how to become a successful food and nutrition blogger!
  *   Review the 12 classes of diabetes medications with a focus on the medications most recently approved by the FDA. The mechanism of action, indication and contraindications, efficacy, and safety concerns will be outlined. A synopsis of teaching points to include when educating patients will be provided.
  *   Discover how to incorporate therapeutic nutrition, modern medical science, and traditional natural medical approaches to not only treat disease, but restore health in your patients.

11:45 am: “Diabetes Medication Update.” Joyce Vergili EdD, RD, CDN, CDE

1:15 pm: Break/Lunch

1:45 pm: “Integrating Nutrition and Naturopathy.”Dr. Jaime Schehr ND, RD

3:00 pm: Networking



Registration Fee:

  *   $85 GNYDA Members
  *   $120 Non-members (includes GNYDA Membership fee for 2014-2015)
  *   $65 GNYDA Student Members
  *   $90 Student Non-members (includes 2014-2015 GNYDA Student Membership fee)

Registration fee includes lunch and light refreshments. Registration will only be accepted with payment. GNYDA reserves the right to return registration once capacity has been reached. On-site registration (add $20), space permitting. A portion of the registration fee will be donated to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation.
