Three positions open with University of Minnesota Extension:

SNAP-Ed Regional Coordinator 
2 open positions:  1 office location in Ramsey County,  1 office location in Rochester
The SNAP-Ed Regional Coordinator has major and continuing responsibility for the implementation and management of the University of Minnesota Extension's SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) Education program in a multi-county region of the state. He/she will develop and lead an effective work team (4-8 FTE) of SNAP-Ed Educators in the region to deliver high-quality, effective health and nutrition education for SNAP recipients and others eligible for federal benefit programs. This position focuses on hiring, training, supervising, and supporting Extension's SNAP-Ed Educators, and managing programmatic efforts carried out by these educators from a regional perspective.

Health and Nutrition Extension Educator
1 open position: office location in St. Cloud
The Health and Nutrition Extension Educator will coordinate and lead Health and Nutrition programmatic efforts out of the St. Cloud Regional Extension Office. Health and Nutrition programs aim to develop, customize, package, and deliver high quality, integrated, evidence-based, effective strategies to support healthy living, prevent obesity and chronic disease, and reduce disparities. These programs lead initiatives to enhance general health, improve access to and consumption of healthy food, and increase physical activity. For more information on Health and Nutrition, visit www.extension.umn.edu/family/nutrition/.  The person in this position will help accomplish these initiatives by providing direct education, forging new relationships and partnerships, training other organizations, supporting and collaborating with stakeholders, and engaging and educating public policy makers. The person in this position would be required to continue professional development in scholarship and/or the corresponding research-based area of expertise, report on annual activities and impacts, and develop an annual professional plan of work. This position will report to the Health and Nutrition Program Leader.
