Today, the Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (OSTLTS) released CDC’s 2013 Prevention Status Reports (PSRs), which highlight the status of public health policies and practices designed to prevent or reduce important public health problems. Individual reports are available for all 50 states and the District of Columbia on 10 health topics:

·       Excessive alcohol use

·       Motor vehicle injuries

·       Food safety

·       Nutrition, physical activity, and obesity

·       Healthcare-associated infections

·       Prescription drug overdose

·       Heart disease and stroke

·       Teen pregnancy

·       HIV

·       Tobacco use

The PSRs are designed to help increase the use of evidence-based health policies and practices. We invite CDC project officers and others to share the PSRs with their grantees and partners. More information is available on the PSR website.
