ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Dr. Dezheng Huo is an assistant professor of Department of Health Studies and a member of Cancer Center at the University of Chicago.

After graduating from Beijing Medical University, he pursued public health training at University of Illinois at Chicago, and earned a MS in Biostatistics

in 2001 and a PhD in Epidemiology in 2005. His research interests focus on the genetic, molecular, and environmental factors for breast cancer etiology,

particularly in underserved and understudied populations. He also interested in the prognosis, treatment, and screening of breast cancer, colorectal cancer and prostate cancer.
