Dear students, One of the social work faculty (Prof. Carmen Morano) is teaching a course on interprofessional practice to his social work students. As part of this course, his students need to interview three health professionals from a variety of disciplines. If you are currently working in any health/public health related discipline, we would really appreciate it if you would be willing to be interviewed. Plichta, ScD, CPH Professor Campus Director, Hunter Campus The Request: Students will conduct 3 interviews with professionals from 3 different disciplines. Each interview will include the following questions: 1. What is the respondents perception of the role of social work in their setting/program? 2. How often do you interact with social workers at their setting/[program? 3. What other professional disciplines does the respondent interact with? 4. What are some of the challenges/barriers to interprofessional practice at their setting? Students will submit a summary of each interview that captures the key points and responses to the proposed questions. This summary should also include a critical reflection of opportunities for interprofessional practice as well as how you might address some of the challenges/barriers to interprofessional practice at each setting.
