Dear students,

One of the social work faculty (Prof. Carmen Morano) is teaching a course on interprofessional practice to his social work students.  As part of this course, his students need to interview three health professionals from a variety of disciplines.  If you are currently working in any health/public health related discipline, we would really appreciate it if you would be willing to be interviewed.  Please contact Prof. Morano ([log in to unmask]) directly with your contact information.

With Appreciation,

Stacey B. Plichta, ScD, CPH

Professor

Campus Director, Hunter Campus

The Request:

Students will conduct 3 interviews with professionals from 3 different disciplines. Each interview will include the following questions:

1.      What is the respondents perception of the role of social work in their setting/program?

2.      How often do you interact with social workers at their setting/[program?

3.      What other professional disciplines does the respondent interact with?

4.      What are some of the challenges/barriers to interprofessional practice at their setting?

Students will submit a summary of each interview that captures the key points and responses to the proposed questions. This summary should also include a critical reflection of opportunities for interprofessional practice as well as how you might address some of the challenges/barriers to interprofessional practice at each setting.

If you are willing to be interviewed, please contact:
