Dear Colleagues,

The next NYC Media Seminar will take place on Wednesday, March 5.  Joel Waldfogel (University of Minnesota) will present "Cinematic Explosion: Movies, Gatekeepers, and Product Discovery in the Digital Era".  The seminar meets from 10:00-12:00 in room #1502 of the Associated Press headquarters at 450 W. 33rd St., New York City.  Given Joel's flight schedule, we will start the talk promptly at 10:15. 

Looking ahead, Matthew Gentzkow (Chicago Booth) will join us on April 2 to present "Do Newspapers Serve the State? Incumbent Party Influence on the US Press, 1869-1928".  The full list of presenters and papers is available here:  http://econ.hunter.cuny.edu/hresearch/media-economics/conferences-events.
