ENHANCED CUSTODY: DATA AND ANALYTICS ENGINEER (BOSTON)

JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES

State Street’s Enhanced Custody product is an alternative to prime brokerage that allows clients to finance and borrow securities from a segregated custody account. This unique platform reduces counterparty risk, increases transparency and provides greater control over assets. The result is a more efficient and cost-effective way to manage alternative investment strategies.

Enhanced Custody is just over five years old, has a global, blue chip client base and is one of the fastest growing products within State Street. This role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the success of a dynamic business and to help shape its future at a relatively earlier stage of development.

Enhanced Custody is seeking a Data and Analytics Engineer to develop tools to provide reporting and analytics that support managerial decision-making. The successful candidate will work with a range of business users to analyze data consumption needs and define and implement solutions. Additional responsibilities include: automation and/or enhancement of data management processes; maintenance of up to date documentation; and integration of requirements related to product and geographic expansion. The individual will be invested with ownership of data, in a business where information has to date lacked a clear owner.

This position exists in Boston within the business reporting directly to the Enhanced Custody COO. The potential for growth exists as the business expands and both additional support as well as the need to articulate a holistic data management vision become necessary.
