Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)
Application Deadline:

The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation is an alliance of 17 CUNY Colleges and the CUNY Graduate Center. Students participate in faculty research and receive mentoring from senior faculty.

HOW TO APPLY
1. Obtain the contact information for 2 references, and fill out cover sheet here 
2. Obtain your official transcript
3. Prepare your curriculum vitae 
4. Obtain your proof of citizenship and social security card

McNair Scholars Program
Application Deadline:

The Ronald E. McNair program prepares eligible undergraduates for doctoral studies through involvement in research and scholarly activity. Participants acquire the skills and knowledge required for admission to graduate school and the successful completion of graduate studies. 

HOW TO APPLY

2. Obtain documentation of financial need
3. Obtain your Student Aid Report (SAR)
4. Obtain a writing sample
5. Write an application essay

Resource Assisted Initiatives in Science Empowerment for Women (RAISE-W)
Application Deadline: June 6

Eligibility Requirements: Click here

The RAISE-W program seeks to address training, productivity, and skills acquisition in all students interested in the empowerment and retention of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Program participants engage in 15-20 hours weekly hands-on research training in laboratory experiments with a faculty mentor. Students also interact with successful scientists during workshop sessions and receive private one-on-one executive coaching.

HOW TO APPLY
1. Obtain the contact information for 1 reference, who can comment on your education, motivation, and potential for scientific research, and fill out cover sheet here

There are thousands of research internships and opportunities available to undergraduates in a diversity of subject areas at universities, research centers, and institutions across the nation and around the world.
