Following the Housing First model, Lantern Community Services, the social service affiliate of Lantern Organization, provides a complement of counseling and supportive services to help clients stabilize their lives, maintain their housing stability and advance towards their individualized goals, including financial independence.
Location and Work Schedule: This is a full-time position at both Amber Hall (Bronx) and Audubon Hall (Upper Manhattan), which requires a flexible schedule with at least one evening shift on a weeknight and one shift on a Saturday or Sunday.
Job Description: The Health and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for working with single adults with HIV/AIDS, living in supportive housing, towards comprehensive physical and emotional health and independence. By emphasizing health and wellness and using a client centered approach, the Health and Wellness Coordinator will provide individual and group interventions to maximize personal growth, housing stability and achievement of goals, while also building a respectful and positive community. This position will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team in supportive housing serving single adults with HIV/AIDS impacted by mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness. The Health and Wellness Coordinator reports to the Program Director. This position is exempt.
Responsibilities:
• Develops and implements progressive programming (serving individuals and groups) aimed at ensuring all clients have access to information and services based on best practices in the delivery of health and wellness programming;
• Works closely with clients and social workers to provide services focusing on health and wellness and support individualized service planning;
• Builds partnerships and linkages with progressive and/or alternative community agencies that serve the needs of clients;
• Trains staff and serves as a program expert in provision of best practices and progressive services and programming related to health and wellness;
• Participates in weekly clinical case conferences, regular staff meetings, individual supervision and other meetings as required;
• Documents all client work in confidential electronic records;
• Completes reports as directed by supervisor; and • Performs other job-related functions, as assigned.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree for the Health and Wellness Coordinator position is strongly preferred, and a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience providing direct service to populations impacted by HIV/AIDS, mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness is required. The Health and Wellness Coordinator should have experiences with alternative health and wellness concepts and programming including smoking cessation, stress management, harm reduction, relaxation techniques and nutrition. Candidates should have the ability to work as a collaborative team member with a diverse population, be proactive problem solvers willing and able to seek creative solutions in the interest of clients and building a strong and respectful community and have experience providing training to staff, facilitating groups and effectively engaging clients with multiple barriers to stability and independence.

The Go!Healthy Parents Program is an integral component of the CAS Go!Healthy Program.Our program promotes healthy eating behaviors for families, improves cooking skills through hands-on workshops and engages parents in movement and stress reduction activities.

Under the supervision of the Director of Food and Nutrition Programs, the Go! Healthy Early Childhood Parent Program Coordinator will develop and implement a nutrition education program for parents with children ages 0-5 years. The program will include group-based nutrition classes and one-on-one consultations with parents of nutritionally at-risk children. Qualifications:

Chartwells School Dining Services is seeking a Regional Dietitian for the Mid-Atlantic states of NJ, NY, DC, MD, and PA. This position directs corporate nutrition initiatives for the region including: menu compliance, nutrition education, and wellness/sustainability programs. the Regional Dietitian collaborates with operations, culinary and marketing teams on regulatory compliance, nutrition program implementation, menu development, dietetic internship, Webtrition management and purchasing initiatives, nutrition education and promotion, parent and community nutrition outreach, media activities, associate training, and food allergy management. The responsibilities also include the oversight of resident dietitians and dietetic interns within region.

Responsibilities:

Assists with development, field implementation, and evaluation of nutrition and sustainability, mandatory and optional programs.

Assists field with interpretation of new regulations, maintenance of USDA audit readiness, and preparation for specific USDA and state audits.

Leads and coordinates Chartwells nutrition and regulatory training.

Collaborates with operations and support teams to develop menus that meet Chartwells nutrition guidelines, regulatory standards and district food cost goals.

Coordinates program evaluation protocols and research protocols in the field.

Participates as part of the regional sales team; provides nutrition related sales materials for new business proposals, attends sales presentations and stratetigic planning meetings as required.

Coordinates and implements nutrition education.

Attends board of education meetings, wellness meetings and other school related meetings as required.

Supports Chartwells sustainability programs in the field.

Provides leadership to operations and support teams with media communications and nutrition communications with school districts

Maintains knowledge of current nutrition and regulatory topics and interprets science and regulations to Chartwells and School District.

Manages food allergy compliance and training.

Qualifications:

Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
Master's Degree, preferred
A minimum of 5 years of experience in School Foodservice is strongly preferred.
Experience in the foodservice area of a highly regulated health-related field may be substituted for school foodservice experience when appropriate.
Demonstrated successful experience with adult group training and public speaking is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work productively and effectively with minimal supervision
Perform effectively against tight deadlines while juggling multiple priorities
Work collaboratively in a team environment
Ability to build relationships with a wide range of professional roles
Proficient with menu management software
