Are you passionate about food and children? Join NYU Food Studies graduate, Cricket Azima and The Creative Kitchen team to help kids discover the joys of cooking, learning through food, and eating while exercising your talents! 

We are looking for dynamic, kid-loving, self-motivated interns with experience in food, education, small business, media, journalism and/or web communications.

The Creative Kitchen™ teaches children about food and how to cook in a fun, safe, and educational manner. The multi-faceted company includes a variety of media outlets which promote the curriculum. Targeting children ages two and older, the company focuses on teaching, writing, producing creative content, and consulting to present educational content through food-related activities. Education Intern

Responsibilities

-Assist in teaching kids cooking classes, parties, and playdates 
-Aid in curricula development and lesson planning 
-Create grocery orders for cooking classes, parties, and playdates 
-Assist with culinary prep for classes and events 
-Write product reviews for foods and children’s cooking supplies 
-Aid in administrative duties, including invoicing, organizing calendars and data upkeep 

 

Food Writing Intern

Responsibilities

-Assist in the development of content specific social media posts 
-Assist with recipe development, testing, and writing 
-Aid in editing lesson plans and operation manuals 
-Assist with editorial calendar, content research, and development 
-Write food product and book reviews 
-Assist with blog content 

 

Culinary Intern

Responsibilities

-Create food orders for cooking classes, special events, and festivals 
-Assist with culinary prep for and during classes and events 
-Source and procure groceries and other food items 
-Aid founder with general culinary tasks 

 

Business Development Intern

Responsibilities

-Assist in research and development of new advertising client endeavors 
-Assist with development and implementation of the Kids Food Festival 
-Develop relationships and act as a liaison between The Creative Kitchen and partners and clients 
-Aid in administrative duties, including invoicing, organizing calendars and data upkeep 
-Assist with basic accounting and finances 

 

Media/Photography Intern

Responsibilities

-Photograph classes, events, recipes, and product samples 
-Manage & edit photos for site, marketing materials, and social media 
-Assist with social media 
-Assist with content research and development 
-Assist with blog content 
-Assist with e-newsletter 
-Assist with web content and graphic design
