Everything You Need to Know about Being a Pre-Health Student

This workshop is geared towards students who are interested in going on to professional health care programs of medicine, dentistry, optometry, veterinary and podiatric medicine. The Ronald E. McNair program prepares eligible undergraduates for doctoral studies through involvement in research and scholarly activity. Participants acquire the skills and knowledge required for admission to graduate school and the successful completion of graduate studies.

SULI Oak Ridge Internship
Application Deadline: October 7, 2014
The Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI) program encourages undergraduate students to pursue science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers by providing research experiences at the Department of Energy (DOE) laboratories. Selected students participate as interns appointed at one of 16 participating DOE laboratories. They perform research, under the guidance of laboratory staff scientists or engineers, on projects supporting the DOE mission. AstroCom NYC

Interns receive scholarships, fellowships, research and career mentoring, a research laptop, and - most importantly - a direct introduction to the community of astronomy research in NYC centered at the American Museum of Natural History.

The Brooklyn College NSF REU Program in Neuroscience is currently seeking talented and enthusiastic undergraduate applicants for its upcoming Spring 2015 Program. This is an exciting 15-week mentored research opportunity! All NSF REU recipients will receive a stipend of $3,100.

The mission of the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) is to promote undergraduate research scholarship and creative activity done in partnership with faculty or other mentors as a vital component of higher education. Abstracts & Travel Awards for ABRCMS Conference
The ABRCMS 2014 is held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX from Wednesday, November 12, to Saturday, November 15. This acclaimed conference provides an opportunity for students in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to present their research through poster and oral presentations and expand their scientific and professional development through innovative sessions, as well as networking opportunities.
