We are currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Sexuality Educator for PPNYC’s Education and Training department.
This is an exempt position reporting to the Associate Director of Youth Programs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
In direct collaboration with the Associate Director for Youth Programs, the Senior Sexuality Educator is responsible for supporting the delivery of a robust menu of sexuality education programs
that reach school and out of school time youth throughout NYC. Via the development of strong linkages with schools and community based organizations the Senior Educator will schedule workshop series, outreach events, and other education and training activities
designed to meet departmental goals and PPNYC’s mission. In addition, the Senior Educator is responsible for facilitating sex education programs, including sexual and reproductive health curricula, evidence based, and youth development programs to youth in
target communities throughout New York City. The Senior Educator will conduct community outreach to raise awareness of PPNYC’s broad range of services as well as link clients to services. In order to bring best practices to the field of sexual and reproductive
health, the Senior Educator will be part of a team of trainers who facilitate trainings to professionals via PPNYC’s esteemed Training Institute. The Senior Sexuality Educator will support efforts in research and technical assistance for special projects
within the Education Department. Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in public health and /or education preferred. Requires one (1) to two (2) years of experience providing educational workshops and presentations. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience in
working with diverse population and knowledge of sexual and reproductive health a must. Willingness to travel throughout all NYC boroughs a must. Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
