The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking an experienced Master’s level Project Manager with suitable research and project management experience. Overview of Job Requirements: 
• Implements and manages research projects focusing on health and interventions and their associated health outcomes.
• Provides assistance and consultation on clinical trials methodologies
• Documents and records observations on progress of research, investigations and data per regulatory requirements and MSMC protocols. 
• Supervises subordinate personnel and offers guidance on research methods and techniques 
• Provides assistance to the Principal Investigator. 
• Assists in the development of budgets for research projects. 
• Completes all Institutional Review Board (IRB) or IACUC and other regulatory applications and renewals. 
• Develops consent forms, screens and enrolls patients, follows patients through course of study, collects and analyze data. 
• Develops policies and procedures within area of responsibility. Writes and amends protocols as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications: 
• Master’s Degree (MA, MS, MPH, MPA or MBA) required with at least 3 years of professional research project management experience

** RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROVISION OF NUTRITIONAL CARE TO PATIENTS/RESIDENTS FROM DIFFERENT POPULATIONS AND DISEASE STATES; INCLUDING NUTRITION EDUCATION TO PATIENTS/RESIDENTS AND/OR FAMILY MEMBERS.
**PARTICIPATES IN PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES. 
**ACTS AS A MEMBER OF THE INTER-DISCIPLINARY TEAM. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Timely initial and periodic assessments of nutritional needs of Patients/residents. 
2. Development, implementation and revisions of nutritional care plans. 
3. Follow-up progress of Patients’/Residents’ nutritional status and revision of care plans, as needed – (unplanned weight changes, significant change in intake, changes in condition that requires specific nutritional intervention, etc.) 
4. Formulation and updating of discharge plans for continuity of nutritional care. 
5. Timely completion of MDS for residents in the units assigned (per procedure and per schedule), if applicable. 
6. Timely review and documentation of patients/residents inter-disciplinary comprehensive care plans, as scheduled 
7. Maintenance of Patients’/Residents/ nutritional record / files with current and accurate data necessary for the implementation of nutritional care plans formulated. 
8. Interpretation/evaluation and implementation of diet orders 
9. Development of individual meal plans in conformance with the Physicians’ diet orders, Patients’/Residents’ food preferences and cultural/religious requests. 
10. Communication of diet order requests/changes and special instructions for the implementation of individualized nutritional care plans formulated to the Diet Office and/or other units of the department. 
11. Review of diet renewals and dietary records for implementation and accuracy (Dietary List, nourishment/Sandwich List, Formulary List, etc). 
12. Participation in comprehensive care planning conferences. 
13. Communication with the Physicians, Nurses and members of other disciplines concerning the provision of appropriate nutritional care. Acts as consultant on nutrition issues for other members of the Inter-disciplinary team. 
14. Provision of nutrition education to patients/residents and/or family (including food & drug interaction), if needed. 
15. Documentation of nutritional care in the medical records, as per procedure. 
16. Record keeping and filing of nutritional records, as per procedure. 
17. Timely completion and submission of daily/weekly reports of activities and as needed. 
18. Timely initiation/implementation of corrective measures and timely submission of such information for problem areas identified in Performance Improvement periodic reviews. 
19. Participation in monthly staff meetings, in-services and performance improvement conferences. 
20. Attendance to outside seminars as approved and reporting of information gathered from attendance. 
21. Performance of daily necessary clinical functions (ie; diet order requests) while providing coverage for other dietitians. 
22. Performance of other related duties as assigned. 
23. Completion of meal rounds to ensure conformance to prescribed diets, adequate food intake and overall meal tolerance. 
24. Maintains friendly, efficient Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and patients/residents. 
25. Preceptor of dietetic interns as needed. 
26. Responsible for conducting group education for the interdisciplinary team, other healthcare workers and the public when necessary. 
27. Visit patients to obtain a detailed nutrition history summary and determine their nutritional needs. Once needs are determined, comprehensive assessments will be completed, including recommendations that will be communicated to the physicians and/or nursing staff. 
28. Document daily productivity of all patients assessed and/or visited and any patient associated meetings. Provide daily productivity reports to the clinical nutrition manager on a weekly basis. 
29. Conduct tray assessments and evaluations as per schedule provided by the department. 
30. Collect data and participate in department QA and PI projects. 



QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Must be a Registered Dietitian. Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.

This is a full-time position at both Vicinitas Hall (Bronx) and Lindenguild Hall (Bronx), that requires a flexible schedule. Coordinators will be required to work at least one weeknight evening, and either on a Saturday or Sunday each week. In exchange, Coordinators will be able to have an approved flexible schedule the remainder of the workweek, such that each workweek totals 35 hours.
Job Description:
The Health and Wellness Coordinator is responsible for working with single adults (30-60 years old), families and young adults (18-26 years old), living in supportive housing, towards comprehensive physical and emotional health and independence. By emphasizing health and wellness and using a client centered approach, the Health and Wellness Coordinator will provide individual and group interventions to maximize personal growth, housing stability and achievement of goals, while also building a respectful and positive community. This position will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team in supportive housing serving families and young adults impacted by mental illness, substance abuse, foster care and homelessness. The HWC reports to the Director of Health and Wellness. This position is exempt.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement programming (serving individuals and groups) to ensure all clients have access to information and services based on best practices in the delivery of health and wellness programming.
• Implement evidence-based and promising practice models with fidelity.
• Work closely with the client and social worker to provide services focusing on health and wellness, and support individualized service planning.
• Build partnerships and linkages with progressive and/or alternative community agencies that serve the needs of clients, including Health Homes and managed care organizations.
• Train staff and serve as a program expert in provision of best practices and progressive services and programming related to health and wellness.
• Participate in weekly clinical case conferences, regular staff meetings, individual supervision and other meetings as required.
• Document all client work in confidential electronic records.
• Complete reports as directed by supervisor.
• Perform other job-related functions, as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree strongly preferred; Bachelor's Degree required; relevant experience serving populations impacted by substance abuse, mental illness, HIV/AIDS and homelessness preferred.
• Experience with evidence-based and/or promising practices strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team member with a diverse population.
• Proactive problem solver willing and able to seek creative solutions in the interest of clients and building a strong and respectful community.
• Experience providing training to staff, facilitating groups and effectively engaging clients with multiple barriers to stability and independence.
• Experience with alternative health and wellness concepts and programming including smoking cessation, stress management, harm reduction, relaxation techniques and nutrition.
• Comprehensive understanding of child and adolescent development as well as family dynamics
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing direct service to one or more of the following populations strongly: persons living with AIDS /HIV, formerly homeless and chronically homeless persons and families, young adults aged out of foster care, persons with mental illness, or persons in recovery from addiction.
