Dear Pre-health Post-bacc Community,

As pre-dental, pre-med, or pre-vet post-baccs, one of the many extra-curricular activities we would all like to participate in is to work in a research laboratory for some period of time, gaining experience in the science of medicine (or some related field), perhaps publishing a paper, and getting another letter of recommendation.

But this can be daunting task! How does one go about finding an appropriate lab, finding an appropriate PI, setting up an interview, preparing for said interview, applying for an appropriate grant, getting training in a related field, actually conducting new research?...the list of challenges goes on!

These are not always easy tasks, but medical-related research is becoming more and more necessary on graduate school applications these days, so...

Therefore, the Hunter Post-Bacc Club is going to put on a panel event on

"Research Positions: What they are, Where to find them, How to get one, Etc."

On Thursday, November 13th, from 730-900pm in the glass cafeteria, and we are looking for panelists! So, if you have or have had an interesting research position that you wouldn't mind telling us all about, please contact me (Justin) about becoming a Panelist! Hunter volunteer hours will be dispensed, and there will be free food.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Cheers,

Justin Rice
