Applications sought for the inaugural Clarence Pearson Internship in Global Health and Aging. The intern will lead an extensive audit of existing organizational, financial, and social resources for aging populations and age-related research around the
world.
The findings will not only make important cross-disciplinary contributions to the field of age-related research, but also inform the research to be conducted by future interns.

Gain deeper knowledge of scientific, clinical, and social science research in age-related health concerns
Write and help publish and distribute a white paper report and help develop strategies to share findings
Present findings before leaders in NYC-based aging and global health organizations
Eligibility
Students must be currently enrolled in a graduate program in the greater New York City region
Students must provide an academic mentor at their institution who can help guide research
Both Financial Need and Academic Merit are key criteria
Public Health and International Studies students strongly encouraged to apply
Honorarium
$5000
Accommodations and travel will not be provided.

Reporting to AFAR Executive Director and Communications Officer
Duration
Two to three days a week for a full semester
Anticipated start date January through June 2015
