This webinar is the fourth of the Professional Development series hosted by the SNEB Student Committee. Dr. Lohse will share her success and strategies for communication in nutrition education, by describing her education, current work, and the different avenues for students and professionals to get involved. The webinar will last 30 minutes. There is no cost to participate.

1. Learn about Dr. Lohse's path to success in the field of nutrition education, with a focus on communication.
2. Understand what topics are currently being studied within this field as it relates to nutrition education.
3. Develop an understanding about ways to become more involved as a student in this field.

Dr. Lohse's research interests are Eating Competence, including measurement validation and intervention assessment, Nutrition Education methodologies, Problem-based Learning and Learning Technologies, such as web and digital photo receiver, Complementary and Alternative Nutrition issues and Nutrition education for low-income audiences Survey development and nutrition education impact study design.

She has been a professor for over ten years and has taught a wide variety of nutrition courses at Pennsylvania State University. In addition to teaching, she is involved in the SNAP-Ed program as the principal investigator for evaluation, program development and policy. She is also the director at the NEEDs center where she works with experts in health literacy, technology, and graphic arts to develop and evaluation nutrition education strategies.
