For our event, Despina will demonstrate how to make faki, a hearty and lentil and vegetable soup considered a staple in the Greek kitchen, a side of horta, leafy greens like bitter chicory or dandelion greens, and spanakopita, iconic of Greek cuisine,
made with phyllo dough, lots of fresh dill, scallions, and Despina’s favorite Arachova feta cheese, to add a unique fresh zing to this comforting dish. Despina will guide you through how to handle delicate phyllo dough to make the crispest golden crust and
we will all have the pleasure of tasting these three vibrant dishes.
