Nutrition and Dietetics Program - Tenure Track Position Available

 

 

The UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN seeks applicants for a full-time tenure track position in Nutrition and Dietetics (Fall 2015). We are in need of a Director of Nutrition and Dietetics who provides leadership, planning and oversight to manage its Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) according to accreditation standards established by ACEND.  

 

Qualifications: A Registered Dietitian, preferably with an earned doctorate in nutrition or in a related field (ABD considered). Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching; a history of, or potential for, research and publication in nutrition; and appropriate experience to take on the management of a DPD.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Direct undergraduate Nutrition and Dietetics program; teach graduate and undergraduate courses in nutrition; supervise dietetic practicum or field-based experiences and experiential education; advise students; conduct research and participate in scholarly publication and related activities including grants for external and internal funding; engage in University service

 

Rank and Salary: Assistant/Associate Professor level.  Rank and salary are competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
