In 2011, the CDC established The Childhood Obesity Research Demonstration (CORD) Project to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act and address the call for comprehensive, multilevel, multisetting approaches to prevent and reduce childhood obesity. This special issue of Childhood Obesity, guest edited by Kirsten Davison, PhD and Brook Belay, MD, MPH, presents nine articles and an accompanying editorial covering this collaboration.
