Media/Social Media Nutrition Intern Opportunity! Company: Alissa Rumsey Nutrition and Wellness www.alissarumsey.com<http://www.alissarumsey.com/> Looking for passionate, dynamic nutrition students who want to gain experience in the areas of social media, nutrition communications, and working with the media. This is an opportunity for students to work one on one with a Registered Dietitian in private practice who does media work, consulting, coaching, writing and speaking. The ideal intern will be detail-oriented, motivated, a self-starter, with strong writing skills and have a passion for healthy food and cooking. Social media savvy is a must, especially a strong working knowledge of Pinterest. Prior communications, advertising or marketing experience is a plus. Projects include planning and managing social media pages, blog writing and posting (WordPress), researching for media interviews, helping to design/launch a new website, recipe creation/testing/photographing, menu planning and more. Hours are flexible. Virtual position with some sporadic on-site work anticipated. Preference will be given to those who can commit to 3-4 hours per week for at least 6 months. As a Spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Alissa's expertise is regularly featured on television, online, and in print. In addition to running her own coaching and consulting business, Alissa serves as the Public Relations Coordinator for the New York State Dietetic Association. This is an opportunity for students to learn about the business and promotional aspects of being a RD.
