Subject: Silberman Service Week

Ms. Mirza,

After a recent conversation with Ms. Diane Brows at the school of Public Health, she advised me to share an event that I am coordinating with you, in an effort to reach more students at the school of Public Health. I have been tabling this event and several PH students have expressed their interest and already enrolled. This event is open to all faculty, students and alumni in the Hunter College and CUNY network. I am requesting that you share this event with students, faculty and alumni within Public Health. Thank you in advance and please contact me if you have additional questions. Also, please view the attachment.

       Silberman Service Week
March 24th-27th

In honor of National Social Work Month March 2015, we welcome potential non-matriculating students to celebrate our second Annual Silberman Service Week through volunteerism in a variety of projects with human service agencies located in the heart of East Harlem. Here are the ways students may like to engage in these service activities:

  * Gather a group of your classmates or colleagues – grab breakfast or lunch together at a local East Harlem venue before or after a service event!
  * Attend an event individually or bring a friend or family member to show and tell the great work that is happening in East Harlem
  * Use a service week activity as a student group, faculty, or alumni project – sponsor it with person power!
  * Speak with Ayanna Ferguson, All In East Harlem Hub Manager, to hear details of the events and the benefits and importance of connecting with our East Harlem Neighbors

Attached, you can view the flyer and overview of service projects for Silberman Service Week. To obtain more information about the event and projects please contact Ayanna Ferguson, All In East Harlem Hub Manager: [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
