Job Description/Responsibilities: Responsible for the provision of nutrition education/counseling to WIC Program Participants; coordinating WIC nutrition services with other health and human services providers; documenting nutrition education sessions; performing other WIC certification procedures contributing to the development of and ensuring implantation of the Local Agency’s Nutrition Education and Outreach Plan. 

 

Required Skills & Abilities: Ability to relate well with adults and children; Good communication and facilitation skills, both verbal and written; ability to maintain composure in a hectic environment.

 

Qualifications: BS Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition or Home Economics with emphasis in Nutrition that includes 12 credits in Clinical Nutrition; bi-lingual Required (English-Spanish)

 

Full Time Position

Hours: 10-6, 11-7 & Saturday s 9-12
