Sodexo is seeking a Lead Dietitian who is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). The selected candidate will provide nutrition education diabetic, medicine, prenatal, and pediatric populations for a Community hospital with ambulatory care centers located in upper Manhattan. Union and management experience preferred. Able to speak Spanish fluently is ideal. Certified Diabetes Educator credential required.

Position Summary

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for most complex or specialized patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients and/or hospital personnel in complex principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Fulfills a leadership role and assumes the role of a Clinical Nutrition Manager in his/her absence. Acts as a regional resource in his/her area of expertise.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
