The Territory Manager will be expected to be an expert in both our Nutritional Service based program and our Nutritional product portfolio. He/she will be targeting OBGYNs and Pediatricians to recommend the products and programs.
In this role you will be accountable for:
The Territory Manager will be expected to drive healthcare professional recommendations of nutritional products and programs in his/her territory based on quotas set-forth by the sales management department. Primary detailing will be focused on key healthcare professionals, specifically OBGYNs and pediatricians.
1. Business Planning
• Develop an Annual Business Plan for Territory. Analyze & identify opportunities in the assigned area + develop plan & tactics to realize the opportunities
• Implement promotional plan and activities with target HCPs

Your New York State Education Department (NYSED) certification in dietetics-nutrition AND have completed a minimum of an additional 400 hours* of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a RD. You must indicate your NYSED certification in dietetics-nutrition number on your application.
*If you are qualifying under #2, the additional 400 hours required is in addition to the 800 hours of supervised dietetics practice under the supervision of a RD required for NYSED certification. On your application you must provide the name of the institution where you obtained the additional hours; the name of your supervisor; and your supervisor’s qualifications.

DUTIES: As a Dietitian 2, you would be a member of an interdisciplinary team and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy which may include consulting with physicians on nutrition support requests; planning and supervising the preparation of special diets and menus; maintaining safe and sanitary conditions; and training or assisting individuals, families and staff to plan specialized and therapeutic nutrition care plans. You may have oversight responsibility in the service of food; assist in the instruction of students or nutrition interns in Medical Nutrition Therapy and food preparation techniques, supervise dietetic interns and technicians; and/or supervise a small food preparation service unit.

Minimum Qual Requirements

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and four years of progressively responsible experience, including one year at the administrative or managerial level in a large governmental agency, business firm, civic or community organization operating in the area of social services; or
2. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. However, all candidates must have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and the one year of experience at the administrative or management level as described in "1" above.

As the city's hub for integrated food poverty assistance, Food Bank tackles hunger on three fronts: food distribution, income support and nutrition education.
Position
The Associate Director of Community Nutrition leads development and implementation of nutritional best practices and related programmatic activities at Food Bank For New York City's Community Kitchen and Food Pantry. This person also provides oversight and support to nutrition education activities and associated budgets for Food Bank's network of emergency food distribution programs (member network).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee programmatic activity at the Community Kitchen and Food Pantry, including nutrition and wellness programming for the Neighborhood Center for Adults 60+ program and coordination of the Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and budget; Create and lead nutrition education activities throughout Food Bank's emergency food distribution network.
Position
• Build recognition of Food Bank as field expert in nutrition education for emergency food providers and their clients by developing and providing nutrition education and food safety tools and activities for Food Bank Network; such as newsletters, training curricula, etc;
• Provide leadership, supervision and support to three nutritionists in Just Say Yes to Fruits and Vegetables, a state funded program designed to prevent overweight/obesity and reduce long term chronic disease risks through the promotion of increased fruit and vegetable consumption;
• Conduct site visits to ensure quality of programming, budget management, and to collect contractual reports on a monthly and quarterly basis;
• Assist with menu and pantry food planning via support of food procurement and development of nutrient-dense, culturally appropriate meals, menu cycles and pantry food options for Community Kitchen as well as Food Bank's member network; provide on-going evaluation of nutritional guidelines;
• Manage child hunger prevention programs and associated budgets within Food Bank's network of emergency food programs that supports the prevention of childhood hunger when school meals are not available, such as weekends;
• Provide individual and group nutrition counseling to special needs populations in the Harlem Community;
• Train and manage volunteers and interns for nutrition and outreach activities;
• Manage special projects/events and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred;
• Registered dietician required;
• Two years direct social service client experience required;
• Three to five years managing a team in innovative programs;
• Three to five years experience in nutrition. Working knowledge of the emergency food community preferred;
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred;
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Applications including PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel and Access;
• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs to include boxes, equipment and/or supplies.

Requirements
Masters Degree in Food & Nutrition, Nutritional Sciences, or RD required.

Three to five years supervisory experience in a community health program.
One year experience as a WIC Nutritionist with High Risk cases.
Demonstrated leadership experience as Care Team Leader or preceptor.
