The University of Vermont College of Medicine is pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new graduate-level degree program, Master of Medical Science. This one-year, 30-credit hour graduate program serves as an excellent course of study for students who are preparing for entering a health-related career or in anticipation of applying to medical or other health-professional schools. Students will benefit from the expertise of UVM College of Medicine faculty, practitioners, and researchers as well as having access to patient care and research opportunities.

This new program is an extension of UVM's Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program. The Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program has a long and successful history of serving students who need to complete the necessary prerequisite science courses for application to medical, dental, and health professional graduate programs. Both programs offer individualized advising and support, as well as the opportunity to pursue clinical and patient-care experience in The University of Vermont Medical Network, which includes a leading research hospital with the region's only Level-1 Trauma Unit.

The University of Vermont also offers post-baccalaureate students interested in a public health credential a 42 credit online Master of Public Health, or an 18 credit online Certificate of Graduate Study in Public Health, with a generalist or environmental focus. All public health programs can either compliment the preparatory programs or can be completed in a glide year.
