Join us on June 23 to learn how hunger impacts community health -- and how you can take action!
Health care providers are seeing firsthand how severely hunger and poor nutrition -- among children, seniors, pregnant women, and other adults -- makes an impact on all aspects of
health and wellness. Malnourishment exacerbates chronic disease, mental illness, prenatal complications, oral health and many other conditions.
In Toledo, a food reclamation effort, coordinated by ProMedica (a local non-profit health system), has reclaimed more than 200,000 pounds of food in the last two years -- and has provided
more than 125,000 meals through its community partners!
In our webinar next Tuesday, June 23, learn how they've joined with private, faith, and service partners to take this gleaning program to scale -- and how additional nutrition and
food access programs, both clinically and community based, have helped change the culture and direction of ProMedica's advocacy efforts.
