Local Roots NYC connects NYC with fresh, sustainable produce from local farms and small batch NYC providers. Their alternative CSA serves over 650 households and builds community as well as a transparent food
chain. They are excited to open their first brick and mortar at the Fulton Stall Market located in the historic seaport district. Local Roots NYC seeks a store clerk passionate about local food for part time work.
Responsibilities:
- track inventory
- communicate stories behind each product
- provide recipe ideas for produce
- sales
- assist in brainstorming marketing ideas to promote store
- open and close store
Qualifications:
- experience working in retail
- knowledgeable about seasonal produce and local food
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- outgoing and enjoys speaking with others
- organized and clean
- good math skills
- social media skills a plus
- cook at home preferred
Pay: $13/hr
Hours: 11-7:30pm
