Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the third season of the New York City Media Seminar.

The goal of the seminar is to link economists in the greater New York area working on media topics by providing a regular forum to connect with media research in economics, marketing and beyond.  The seminar is open to all researchers with access to New York City and draws speakers from across the US and abroad.

The full schedule for the 2015-2016 season is as follows:

Please note that the November talk this season will be held the second rather than first Wednesday of the month!

The seminar is jointly organized by Lisa George at Hunter College and Miklos Sarvary at Columbia Business School and generously supported by the Associated Press and the Columbia Media ProgramPast and present schedules with links to papers can be found here and here.

Seminars are held the first Wednesday of each month during the academic year at the midtown headquarters of the Associated Press at 450 W. 33rd Street.  Please note that the November talk this season will be held the second rather than first Wednesday of the month! The sessions begin at 10am with coffee, followed by a 90-minute presentation and discussion.
