Good nutrition, regular physical activity, and a healthy body weight are essential parts of a person’s overall health and well-being. Together, they can help decrease a person’s risk of developing serious health conditions, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease, stroke, and cancer. A healthful diet, regular physical activity, and achieving and maintaining a healthy weight also play an important role in managing many health conditions so they do not worsen over time.

Join us on Thursday, November 19 to learn more about the King County, WA Communities Putting Prevention to Work Initiative, which focuses on implementing policy, systems, environment, and infrastructure changes to address obesity by promoting healthy eating and active living (HEAL). During this webinar, presenters will share data on nutrition, physical activity, and obesity. You will also hear about interventions and resources that can help address issues related to nutrition, physical activity, and obesity in your community.
