Participate in the Healthy People 2020 Process! Public Comment Now Open. Reminder!

We’re happy to invite you to participate in the Healthy People 2020 process! The public comment period is open now through November 13, 2015.

Public comment allows you to:

·         Comment on proposed new objectives to be added to the following topic areas:

o    Family Planning

o    Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Health

o    Preparedness

o    Social Determinants of Health

·         Propose new objectives to be included in the 42 existing Healthy People 2020 topic areas

To participate in the public comment period, visit HealthyPeople.gov beginning today. Comments will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. ET on November 13, 2015.

Public comment periods are a cornerstone of Healthy People 2020. We’ll be asking for your input throughout the decade to ensure that Healthy People 2020 reflects current public health priorities. We look forward to hearing from you!

The American Bar Association’s Health Law Section’s Public Health and Policy Interest Group along with CDC’s Public Health Law Program and HHS’s Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion are pleased to announce a complimentary 3-part webinar series entitled “Healthy People 2020 Law and Health Policy Project: The Role of Law in Advancing Health Outcomes,” which will explore how law and policy can influence health outcomes. The webinars will be presented on:
