American Dairy Association and Dairy Council: Take the #GiveAGallon Milk Challenge! WANTED: 25,000 people to Wear White Mustaches! Get involved in ADADC's #GiveAGallon Milk Challenge to raise awareness of hunger and increase milk donations to local food banks. It's easy! Snap a photo wearing a white mustache, and post it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #GiveAGallon. The theme for 2016 is "Savor the Flavor of Eating Right," which encourages everyone to take time to enjoy food traditions and appreciate the pleasures, great flavors and social experiences food can add to our lives.Click here for more information and NNM resources.

Candidates for 2016 National Elections

The Nominating Committee has announced candidates for the offices of treasurer-elect, director-at-large, House of Delegates speaker-elect and House of Delegates director on the Academy's 2016 national ballot.Click here to view the candidate biographical information. The election will run February 1 - February 22, 2016.


NYSAND Updates

Centennial Celebration in Lake Placid, May 10-12 2017

In 1958 the Academy produced a vocational guidance film entitled View From the Mountain. It was described as A dramatic and appealing film to acquaint students with the wide choice of careers in dietetics. It was shown over 20,000 times including 265 airing on television.

May 2017 will offer you yet a renewed view from the mountain our Centennial Celebration in the Adirondacks at Lake Placid. Mark your calendars for May 10-12 2017, and stay beyond to enjoy the mountains, spas, food and fun.

During this first week of February the Empire State Games are being held in Lake Placid with thousands of winter sport competitors. Not to be out done, the village of Saranac Lake (just down the road) will be lighting up the beautiful and majestic annual ice castle.Remember there is an Adirondack chair with your name on it waiting for you in Lake Placid.
