Dr. Leidy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at the University of Missouri.

Objectives:

  • Identify the effects of increased dietary protein to improve appetite control, weight management, fitness/performance, and other health outcomes--discussing meal-specific quantities to maximize these effects.
  • Understand the significance of protein distribution (i.e., timing of consumption), particularly at breakfast.
  • Translate protein research into practical dietary guidance regarding ‘how much’, ‘what type’, and ‘when’ to consume protein-rich foods within the diet.
