Webinar Objectives:

·         To provide an overview of the process for developing the Dietary Guidelines and how they influence public policy.

·         To describe the process used by the 2015 Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC) to evaluate and grade the evidence for the recommendations made in their report.

·         To highlight the research findings and recommendations related to behavioral change strategies at the individual, interpersonal and settings levels of the socio-ecological model of the 2015 DGAC report. .

·        To describe how the recently published 2015-2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans policy can be used by public health professionals to implement change in their organization/community/state.
