Violence against one of our children is violence against all of our children. We must take a stand together. We are not democrats, republicans, white or black. We are Americans and we are human beings.

In the wake of the most recent tragedies that have affected our nation, Dr. Sarah Bernstein, a pediatrics resident at the University of Illinois at Chicago, takes a moment to reflect and show her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.

AAMC Spotlight: Malika Fair, MD, MPH

Growing up, Dr. Fair witnessed her community plagued with various illnesses that she understood to be a part of getting older. It wasn't until she got to high school that she realized these illnesses were not prevalent in every community in the U.S., in fact, they were preventable. This realization ultimately led her to pursue a career in medicine and public health.

Dr. Fair serves as the AAMC's Senior Director for Health Equity Partnerships and Programs.
