Hello Everyone!

The Student's for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM) will be hosting a Welcome Reception for the first year medical students onSeptember 7th from 6:30-8PM on the Belfer Terrace. We are inviting medical students, residents, and faculty to join us and foster community. I highly encourage you to come and meet new peers, potential mentees, and potential mentors in the Weill Cornell Medical community!

For those of you who may not know, the Students for Equal Opportunity in Medicine (SEOM) is the umbrella organization for the underrepresented student minority groups at Weill Cornell: SNMA (Student National Medical Association), LMSA (Latino Medical Student Association), and ANAMS (Association of Native American Medical Students).

In past years, upperclassmen have contributed to a potluck and we would like to continue this tradition. If you would like to bring something please sign-up on this google doc (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jDtta5QBqPRUS9Vbbeg7Xwpgb9rlX8Z_uyY43CxR-iw/edit?usp=sharing) but if you are unable to, SEOM will also be purchasing some food and drinks.

What: Welcome Potluck & Mixer

Where: Belfer Terrace

When: September 7th 6:30-8PM
