Now a rite of passage for first year medical students, the tradition of the White Coat Ceremony began in 1993, and symbolically welcomes students into the medical profession. New Program Sites Announced for the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP)

Do you have summer plans yet? It may seem too early to begin thinking about next summer, but it's never too early to start exploring available opportunities to gain valuable experience and exposure to the medical field. One opportunity to consider is the Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP). Applications are now being accepted for 13 program sites around the country, and will provide you with the opportunity to explore what medical school is like and obtain exposure to several different health professions.
