In this class, you will produce stories and videos, learn how the city works, and compile a portfolio of published work. Assignments get you out of the classroom and onto the streets to do real-life reporting.

Cover what interests you: education, arts, environment, crime, business, politics, urban planning, housing or sports. Make your own beat, learn how to develop sources, pitch stories, report and write for publication. Interest in photography is a plus. This is also a great place to hone your writing skills.
