Dr. Ben Nwachukwu is a 4th year orthopaedic surgery resident at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Born in Nigeria, he attended Columbia University where he received a BA in Psychology and was a 4-year starter on the Men's Basketball team. He attended Harvard
Medical School where he earned an MD Cum Laude and also earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has over 60 publications in print on orthopaedic health services research and is currently planning to pursue a sports medicine fellowship after his residency
training.
Dr. D. Edmund Anstey is a Cardiology fellow at Columbia University Medical Center-New York Presbyterian Hospital. He received his BA from Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology and African & African-American
Studies. He earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. Alongside his fellowship in cardiology he is actively involved
in research and medical education. His research focuses on racial and gender disparities in care as well as hypertension among African Americans.
