Applications for the Ransdell Family Health Professions Readiness & Enrichment Program (HPREP) offered by Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences are being accepted now until Wednesday, March 15th  - Apply Now!  

The event is free (after $50 deposit) and will be held during the week of May 21-25, 2017, on Campbell University's main campus located in Buies Creek, North Carolina.

HPREP is a four-day interdisciplinary, preparatory, and professional development program for prospective students interested in the following areas:

· Pharmacy

· Osteopathic Medicine

· Physical Therapy

· Physician Assistant

· Pharmaceutical Sciences

· Clinical Research

· Public Health

· Biomedical Sciences

The program exposes college students to a formative experience that combines academic instruction with leadership and professional development in an interdisciplinary environment.

All applicants will be evaluated, but preference for admission to the program will be given to underrepresented minorities, first-generation college students, and financially disadvantaged students.

In addition, admission preference will be given to rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors for the Pharmacy, Public Health, Clinical Research, and Pharmaceutical Sciences programs. For Physician Assistant, Osteopathic Medicine, and Physical Therapy programs, admission preference will be given to rising juniors and seniors. 

Over the course of this four-day program, students will:

· Participate in interactive and interdisciplinary labs, workshops, seminars, and case studies related to health professions and their individual program of interest

· Build relationships with leaders in the healthcare profession and be assigned an academic adviser

· Discover how to become more competitive applicants for health profession admissions

· Explore a variety of health profession career opportunities

· Learn how to improve or strengthen professional admission test taking skills through a PCAT, MCAT, and GRE review session

· Experience the Campbell family and our dedication to service.

Since the initiation of HPREP, participants of the program who continued their graduate education at Campbell have been awarded over $100,000 in scholarship funds towards pursuing their healthcare degree at Campbell University.

Orin Autry, a 2012 HPREP Participant and 3rd year CPHS Pharmacy student states, "Simply put, HPREP provided me the necessary essential subjective markers, namely confidence to gain admission into the pharmacy school.  The program is stellar and remarkable in all it provides for aspiring medical professionals."
