Physician Assistant Effie Mihelis earned her PA degree at Touro College. She has worked as a clinical PA for the Pediatric/Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Jamaica hospital. She has also worked at North Shore
Manhasset as a Surgical PA in the Adults/Peds/Trauma/Thoracic/General followed by Intensive Care Unit. PA Mihelis has also earned her MBA at Hofstra in Health Administration. She has worked at LIJ in the Cardiac Valve Clinic running a Cardiac Valve Program
and currently works at Lenox Hill. She will be transitioning to a new Director role in the near future- Director Research for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Lenox Hill. She also conducts medical missions for children requiring cleft lip/palate repair.
