The 2018-2019 Committee Letter Application cycle will begin on October 11th, 2017. Committee Letter Application workshops will be held from October 2017-January 2018. The deadline to submit your Committee Letter application is February 1st, 2018.


To qualify for a Committee Letter you are required to:

         * Have an active Pre-Health file for at least 1 academic year (your file MUST be open by no later than the first semester of your second year at Hunter College)

         * Meet with a Pre-Health advisor at least once per semester

         *  Attend 3 Pre-Health events per semester while enrolled at Hunter

         * Have at least a 3.3 BCPM (Bio, Chem, Phys, Math) GPA and cumulative GPA by the end of the Fall 2017 semester

         * Have completed (or in the process of completing) at least 38 credits of Math and Science (30 credits for transfer students)

         * You are also required to have a minimum of 10 evaluative documents (5 letters of recommendation and 5  course evaluations) submitted to your Pre-Health file. Three letters of recommendation (one from a Hunter science(bio, chem or physics) faculty, one from a clinical supervisor/doctor and one from a research supervisor); and 5 course evaluations must be submitted by February 1st. Any additional letters and evaluations must be in your file by March 15th. (No exceptions will be made.)

          * You must submit a letter of good academic standing from all institutions that you have attended (this includes courses taken on e-Permit, or if you attended another college/university). Please be advised that if you have been dismissed from any college/university or have had disciplinary action taken against you, you are not eligible for a Committee Letter.
