Hi Everyone, As promised, we will be hosting various volunteer opportunities throughout November and early December. Right now, we have four options AMSA members can sign up for. Please read the summary of each event and sign up for one event of your choosing. Please take notice to the location of each event before you sign up. Lastly, if you'd like to withdraw from an event, please let us know 5 days ahead of time. You will receive a conformational email one week before the event stating you have successfully been signed up! 1. Math Tutoring, Saturday 11/18/17 9:30AM-12:00PM Prepare 6th, 7th and 8th grade students for their Math State Exams. Mini lessons and problem sets are provided by the school each week and volunteers receive an overview of the topics covered during the first half hour of each session. DOROT's Thanksgiving Package Delivery on Sunday, November 19th 11:15AM-2:00PM Kickstart your geriatric training today and help out the elderly! You will deliver a traditional Thanksgiving meal along with a Chanukah gift to homeless seniors. Cleaning up at St. Francis Xavier, Sunday 11/26/17 3:00PM-5:30PM Get this soup kitchen back in tip top shape after its weekly Welcome Table, a meal service for nearly 2,000 clients. You'll provide a vital service by sweeping, mopping, washing down and putting away tables and chairs, and tidying up the kitchen and dining hall of Xavier Mission.
