Master of Science in Behavioral Health

The University of San Francisco offers a Master of Science in Behavioral Health degree that is based on the belief that "health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity (World Health Organization). Students learn about the intersection of physical, psychological and systems factors that impact health and graduate knowing how to use appropriate, evidence-based practices to address health disparities.  Pre-medical, pre-health students and students with undergraduate degrees such as psychology, sociology, kinesiology, public health, nutrition and social work have been attracted to our program.

Unique Program Features:

  • Small class size
  • Taught by faculty with doctorates in social work, nursing, psychology, public health, human behavior, and informatics
  • Excellent fieldwork opportunities in health and community organizations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area
  • Complete in as little as twelve months full time (part time options available).

Please encourage your students to attend our next Open House on March 28, 2018 at 5 pm PST. Students can register here. In addition, students can find information about our courses, fieldwork opportunities, faculty, current students and career prospects at our website where they can listen to a pre-recorded webinar.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you have about the MSBH program. Or, I can help your students set up a campus visit to sit in on one of our classes and meet with our current students. You or your students can contact me at [log in to unmask] with any additional questions or to schedule a time to visit our campus.

Sincerely,
