Career options in Med Lab Science
Are you wondering what type of job you can get with a science background? Explore a degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS).

At Jefferson (Philadelphia University + Thomas Jefferson University) we offer a new MLS curriculum, updated labs and full-time MLS faculty who are experts in the field. Our program is accredited by National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).

This one degree offers so many options. Our graduates work in hospital laboratories, veterinary labs, forensics, academics, federal & state agencies, medical equipment companies, biotech and pharmaceutical companies or information systems.

Students gain a solid base in all aspects of laboratory medicine, including 16 weeks of on-site training in clinical labs throughout the Delaware Valley. These "internships" cover clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, and transfusion medicine. Many of these experiences result in job offers!

If you recommend a student for our Fall 2018 cohort, and if they are accepted by May 1, 2018, we will award them a scholarship! Application instructions are here.

Students can request information at
