It is also an opportunity for a trip to the gross anatomy lab at the USC School of Medicine Columbia, shadowing in the hospitals, and learning strategies about how to make your application accentuate your experiences in your best light. The application prep portion includes a comprehensive application overview (AMCAS/AACOMAS), personal statement workshop and practice, interview skills workshop, two simulated, lifelike med school interviews for each participant, practice with simulated Multiple Mini Interviews and discussions about current health care issues. Throughout the entire five days we will have two current medical students with us to offer advice, serve as resources and share their experiences. This camp will help highly-motivated students learn how to showcase their abilities, skills, and enthusiasm throughout the application process to med school.
