FOR COLLEGE AND POST-BACC STUDENTS

These activities are for trainees interested in becoming more competitive applicants to medical/dental/nursing school AND who are interested in learning more about academic medicine/dentistry/nursing or becoming a future faculty member/Dean at a graduate school.

During the 1 day event, learners through a structured curriculum will be able to:

Explore how research, educational and service work not only makes them competitive for graduate school (medical, dentistry, nursing) but also helps them build a foundation for an academic career;
Describe how to transform research, educational and service work to scholarship to enhance their competitiveness for graduate school;
Develop and enhance their portfolio to be a more competitive applicant to health professional graduate school and academia;
Expand their network of graduate school faculty and role models.
Half hour scheduled career consultation with senior health professional
All day career fair presented by local and national graduate health schools and programs
